Ashes to Ashes is the artist’s exploration of oppression, and about the vulnerability that can lead a person that has been crushed, to fall apart. The artist has incorporated pebbles around the subject to symbolise hope contained within the fragments of life. It contains a reference to the phoenix rising, representing healing and renewal.
